Wireless Network Remains Under Repair


The JSU IT department continues to work with its wireless network provider and infrastructure maintenance partner to resolve an ongoing network issue that first appeared September 8. Although they have made progress in isolating the possible cause(s), they have been unable to identify the origin of the problem. Now that representatives from all parties involved are on-site, a resolution is expected soon. 
During a short period of success today, both the ethernet and wireless networks were able to operate simultaneously without error. However, after a brief period of time, the same issue started to reappear that ultimately led to both network segments going offline.  
The university understands the inconvenience this has caused both students and faculty and has committed all resources to fixing the problem. We will continue to provide updates as they become available.
