New President Expected to be Named on May 8

After a nationwide search that yielded numerous applications and resulted in three outstanding final candidates, the Jacksonville State University Board of Trustees hopes to name the university's 12th president during a special meeting on May 8 at 11 a.m. on the 11th floor of the Houston Cole Library.

Finalists for the job are:

• Dr. Carl A. Stockton, Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs, University of Houston-Clear Lake;
• Dr. John M. Beehler, Dean of Business, Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh; and
• Dr. Randall W. Hanna, former Chancellor of the Florida College System.
