Afternoon, Evening Classes Cancelled for March 5

Due to the possibility of hazardous road conditions this afternoon and evening, Jacksonville State University will close today at 12:30 p.m. All afternoon and evening classes are cancelled.
The Gamecock Express will run regular routes until 2 p.m. There will be no service after 2 p.m.
Campus dining hours are adjusted as follows:
• Jack Hopper Dining Hall- Regular operations all day
• Theron Montgomery Building Food Court- Open until 9 p.m.
• Wow Wingery- Open until 10 p.m.
• Gamecock Diner- Regular lunch hours; closed for dinner
• Jazzman- Closed at 12:30 p.m.
The Antigone Lecture scheduled for 5 p.m. today has also been cancelled.
JSU will continue to monitor the weather and is prepared to make further announcements as needed.
Any weather statements relevant to JSU's operations will be shared on the JSU website, via JSU E-Alert and email, through local print and broadcast media, and on the university's social media platforms. All students, faculty and staff are strongly encouraged to enroll in the University's Emergency Alert System.
