UPDATED- Thursday Classes IN STONE CENTER Canceled Due to Power Outage

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT-- At 9:45 pm Wednesday evening, a power outage was reported at Stone Center. The 1973 1600 amp main service breaker was tripped and could not be reset, leaving the entire facility without power. Classes scheduled for Thursday January 9 IN STONE CENTER have been canceled. Please stay tuned to the JSU Public Relations website for further updates.

UPDATE- Thursday, January 9, 10:34 a.m.--

An early morning JSU Alert accidentally distributed a template instead of a message regarding the Stone Center closure. Some students, faculty and staff received the message twice, via SMS and email. This caused further confusion because some messages were not delivered in the order in which they were sent. To recap the correct message, classes in Stone Center are cancelled today due to a power outage. All other scheduled classes are still on. Thank you for your understanding.
