What is First-Gen?

A first-generation college student is defined as a student whose parent(s)/legal guardians have not completed a bachelor's degree.

As part of this prestigious national initiative, Jax State joins leading institutions across the country dedicated to transforming the first-generation student experience and building a more accessible future for higher education.

Over a 26-month journey, Network Leaders work hand-in-hand with experts to strengthen campus infrastructure through diagnostic tools, customized solutions, turnkey toolkits, and robust data insights.
