Faculty Homecoming Workshop

Come Join Us for Food, Fun, and Fellowship!

Academic Affairs and Faculty Commons invites all full-time faculty to join us for food, fun and fellowship as we prepare for the upcoming Fall 2021 semester and the return to pre-Covid capacity classrooms.  The program will include locally catered food and snacks, a campus services browse session, interactive presentations on topics such as maintaining faculty health and wellness, cultivating student success, and creating exceptional syllabi, as well as informative “lightning round” discussions on pertinent topics led by relevant JSU presenters.

Participants of this program will have opportunities for earning stipends. Participants who complete one full session will earn a $100 stipend for attending. Participants who sign up to complete three deliverable activities by October 8 will be eligible to earn an additional $200 stipend, totaling $300. Participants will be given a choice of completing activities such as revamping a syllabus, including a new teaching strategy into their Fall 2021 classroom, registering for future professional development sessions or volunteering to present for Faculty Commons.
