Jax State’s Teaching with AI Canvas Course Discussion Series

Faculty Commons invites you to join the Teaching with AI Canvas Course Discussion Series, a supportive space to reflect, share, and connect as you progress through JSU’s Teaching with AI Canvas course. Much like a book club, these sessions are designed for faculty to come together and discuss insights from the five self-paced modules, exchange ideas on AI in teaching, and explore practical applications in the classroom. This series also serves as part of the Quality Teaching with AI Faculty Fellows track, offering faculty the opportunity to deepen their learning while building a community of practice around AI in higher education.

  • Provide faculty with opportunities to reflect on and discuss concepts from the Teaching with AI Canvas course to strengthen their knowledge and confidence in applying AI to teaching.
  • Create a collaborative space where faculty can share experiences, challenges, and successes while integrating AI into their courses.
  • Encourage faculty to stay engaged and on track with the five self-paced Canvas modules by offering structured discussions that connect theory to practice.
  • Help faculty identify and develop strategies to meaningfully incorporate AI into assignments, assessments, and classroom practices.
  • Align the discussion series with the Quality Teaching with AI Faculty Fellows track to provide continuity between individual learning and broader professional development opportunities at JSU.
