COVID-19 Update: June 15, 2020

Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff,

We wanted to provide you with an update on our COVID-19 situation. The employee who tested positive has fared well and is now fully recovered. The three individuals who were exposed to this employee have all done well in quarantine. None of them became symptomatic. Their quarantine period ended yesterday, and they are back to work today.

University leaders continue to prepare the campus for the anticipated return of students to campus in the months ahead. We have already made good progress with our Pandemic Ready program.

Let me take this opportunity to remind you that we have mandated the use of face coverings/masks for all students, faculty, and staff to wear when in common areas or in the presence of others (including at the Rec Center). You may remove them when you are in your offices alone or in your residence. Scientific studies support the claim that this measure is extremely effective in stopping the spread of COVID-19. As always, maintain social distancing and practice good hand hygiene.

Please be safe and remain healthy!
