Recruitment

What is Recruitment? Recruitment can best be described as a mutual selection process; it gives the chapters a chance to get to know you, while helping you decide where you feel most comfortable. The experience offers a great opportunity to meet people, even if you decide that membership in a sorority or fraternity is not for you.

To participate in Recruitment a minimum 2.00 GPA is recommended. Some chapters also have mandatory GPA requirements, which are explained during registration.

Intake

What is Membership Intake? Intake is the recruitment process for National Pan Hellenic Council (NPHC -- historically African-American). Interest sessions and recruitment activities are held at different times during the academic year once the organization has received approval from their national organization and the Office of Student Life. The following groups participate in Intake:

Alpha Kappa Alpha
Delta Sigma Theta
Kappa Alpha Psi
Omega Psi Phi
Phi Beta Sigma
Zeta Phi Beta
Sigma Gamma Rho

**Students wishing to solicit membership into one of the Nine (9) NPHC Organizations must first attend Convocation.
