Gamecock Soccer Hosting Food Drive

06/04/2020

The Jacksonville State soccer program is joining the Soccer United Against Hunger initiative, powered by the United Soccer Coaches Association. Head coach Neil Macdonald and assistant coach Robert Gardner will be collecting food donations on Tuesday, June 9, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., at Pete Mathews Coliseum.

More than 40 million Americans relied on food banks prior to COVID-19. Since the beginning of quarantine, more than 36 million Americans have lost their jobs due to the virus, many of whom are now relying on food banks nationwide.

Food drive donations will benefit local food banks run by the Baptist Service Centers, with locations in Anniston, Oxford and Jacksonville. For more information about Soccer United Against Hunger please visit SoccerUnitedAgainstHunger.com.
