JSU and City Partner to Host Foothills Fall Festival

10/31/2019

JSU and the City of Jacksonville will present the inaugural Foothills Fall Festival on Nov. 21, 3-8 p.m., in front of Pete Mathews Coliseum. The free public event will bring together the university and the community to celebrate the Thanksgiving season.

Free activities will include a Ferris wheel, carousel, super slide, bouncy house, petting zoo, face painting, pie eating contest, bingo, photo booth, cornhole tournament, a JSU nature classroom and more. JSU students and employees with ID will be provided a free meal from 3-5:30 p.m. by WOW!, Momma Goldberg's and Coca-Cola. Food vendors will also be selling items. Strut’s will operate a beer tent. At 7:30 p.m., there will be a fireworks show.

Arts, crafts and retail vendors will be on site. All proceeds collected from vendor fees and alcohol sales will be donated to the JSU Food Bank and Jacksonville Christian Outreach Center.

A note about parking: Festival guests should park on the north side of the Pete Mathews Coliseum parking lot, as parking on the south side will be dedicated to those attending the Ohio Valley Conference volleyball tournament. Parking will be first come, first served. Festival goers are welcome to park at the lot across from Brewer Hall, where the Gamecock Express will provide a free shuttle service to the festival.
