JSU Working to Conserve Water Due to Drought

As Calhoun County remains under exceptional drought conditions, Jacksonville State is honoring the City of Jacksonville’s water conservation guidelines regarding water usage:

• Residents in the northeast and southwest sectors are asked to limit non-household use of water to Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday between the hours of 7 p.m. and 8 a.m.
• Residents in the northwest and southeast sectors are asked to limit non-household use of water to Monday, Wednesday and Friday between the hours of 7 p.m. and 8 a.m.

Groundkeepers are using sprinklers in the evenings only and hand-watering as needed during the day. Faculty, staff and students are asked to conserve water when possible.
