May 30 'Beyond My Pond' Workshop Explores Impact of Little River Canyon Watershed

Beyond My Pond: Why is Alabama's watershed so important?

This fun workshop will focus on the sustainability of the Little River Canyon Watershed and how it connects to Alabama and the world! Sponsored by JSU Field Schools, EEAA, and Alabama Water Watch. It will be taught by Francine Hutchinson (JSU Herbarium) and Renee Simmons Morrison (JSU Field Schools).

For teachers, educators, scout leaders and any adult who is interested in environmental education.

Date: Saturday, May 30, 2015 
Where: Little River Canyon Center (Fort Payne, AL) www.canyoncenter.org 
Time:10:00 am - Noon CST (Classroom Time); 12:30 pm - 3:00 pm CST (Hands-on Water Quality in Little River)
Fee: $20 per participant
