October 8 Wellness Wednesday Offers Healthy Lunch, Lifestyle Tips


It’s time to get healthy, JSU!

In conjunction with the new Get Healthy, JSU campaign, students from JSU’s Nutrition and Exercise Science programs invite the campus to October’s Wellness Wednesday.

This month’s Wellness Wednesday will be October 8 from noon-1 p.m. in Room 118 East Mason Hall. At the program, participants enjoy a healthy lunch and learn tips for living a healthier lifestyle.

This month’s menu includes:
• Salad- Fire and Ice Salad, 69 calories;
• Entree- Apple-Stuffed Chicken Breast, 139 calories;
• Vegetable- Green Beans Almondine, 70 calories;
• Vegetable- Roasted Red Potatoes, 179 calories; and 
• Dessert- Skinny Chocolate Chip Cheesecake Bars.

Total calories for this delicious meal— 585!

The meal will be prepared by the Nutrition students. The presentation will be by ESW students.

Cost of the lunch is $5 for students, $7 for faculty/staff. Take out is available.
