Neil Labute's 'The Shape of Things' Opens JSU Drama's season Oct. 11-14, 18-21

10/10/2012

The JSU Drama Department opens its season this week with Neil Labute's "The Shape of Things."

In this play,  Adam Sorenson’s life takes an unexpected turn when he meets Evelyn, an attractive graduate art student at the local museum where he works.  Through Evelyn’s influence, Adam begins to improve his appearance and character.  But at what cost?

The cast includes the following JSU students: Drew Sprayberry as Adam, Savannah Jones as Evelyn, Daniel King as Phillip and Lauren Crider as Jenny.  The show is directed by JSU faculty Susan McCain.

This performance will be held in the Studio Theatre of the Stone Center on the JSU Campus.  Because of the smaller size of the venue, the show will run two weekends, October 11-14 and 18-21.  Shows begin at 7 p.m. Thursday-Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sundays.  Tickets are $10 for Adults, $8 for JSU personnel/Seniors and Military and $5 for students.  To order tickets or for more information, call (256) 782-5648.
