The Bachelor of Science in Public Health degree provides the foundational education of relevant human health preparedness in health disciplines, concepts, skills, knowledge, and behaviors promoting lifetime health and wellbeing.
This program is primarily focused on the groundwork in advocating for those individuals interested in careers in the health industry. Our Public Health program is a new addition to JSU in further advancing student’s potential in the increasingly demanding field of health and wellness.
This degree requires 120 total semester hours and a 400 hour professional practicum. No minor required. Program candidates must have an earned overall grade point average of 2.50 based upon a 4.0 scale for graduation.
