Voice Mail is provided to all staff and faculty phones at NO additional monthly charge.


So, What is Voice Mail?

JSU is offering Voice Mail, a messaging service that allows people to exchange messages at any time of day or night, from any touch-tone telephone.

First Time set up for Faculty/Staff:

  • Call the voice mail system by dialing extension 7900 from your office phone
  • When the system answers, press in your security code, 12345.
  • Follow the prompts to change your password, record your name, and record a personal greeting.

Voice Mail Features

To listen to your messages:

  • Dial 7900 from your office phone
  • Enter your password
  • Press 1 1 to listen to your new messages

 To listen to your messages from off campus:

  • Dial 256-782-7900 from your off campus phone
  • Press the # key when the system answers
  • Enter your mail box #
  • Enter your security code
  • Press 1 1 to listen to your new messages
