Field Trips

JSU Field Schools offers Field Trips at both of its centers: Little River Canyon Center and Cleburne County Mountain Center. Field Trips can be scheduled at outdoor partner sites such as Little River Canyon National Preserve, DeSoto State Park, JSU Planetarium, Cheaha State Park and Talladega National Forest.

Introduce your class, club, troop or group to the wild places of Alabama. Curriculum-based Learning Station topics include: Interpretive Hikes, Archaeology, Ecology, Botany, Herpetology, Water Quality/Watersheds, Geology, Nature Art & Journaling, Canyon Creatures, Storytelling, Critter Tales (supported by live animals) or our national award winning Naturalist Adventure Hike.

We can customize these opportunities to meet your educational needs. Fee is $15 per student. There is a minimum $300 per day charge. If this fee is too high, please call and discuss funding opportunities.
