- Blackboard Maintenance Scheduled - On Friday, November 20, 2009, from 1:00 a.m. - 5:00 a.m. (Central Time), maintenance will be performed on the network hosting the JSU Blackboard system. Service interruptions are not expected but are possible. It is not recommended that activities such as exams and assignment submissions be attempted during this period.

- Fall 2009 Distance Education Newsletter Now Available! - Eminus, the Office of Distance Education’s biannual newsletter, is now available. Click on the link to the right to view it.
- Spring 2010 course shells are now available in Blackboard - In preparation for the coming upgrade to Blackboard Learn version 9 and in an effort to promote standardization and accessibility for students, you will notice some changes in the default course menu. It is important that you review the information on the "Bb Spring 2010 Course Prep - Considering Bb Learn v9" web page which provides specific details regarding procedures for preparing your Spring 2010 course shells in consideration of the coming mid-December upgrade to Blackboard Learn version 9.
- Upgrade to Blackboard Learn Version 9 Scheduled - Blackboard will be upgraded to Blackboard Learn Version 9 beginning December 16, 2009. The installation, along with post-upgrade configuration, customization and testing will require Blackboard to be unavailable for as much as one week. Though the system may appear available, users should plan to refrain from logging in until notice of completion has been provided.
