• Disable pop-up blocker software (i.e. Google Toolbar, Yahoo Toolbar, etc.).
  • Your Windows OS may also have a popup blocker that you can disable through Internet Explorer.
    • Under Tools, then Internet Options, under the Privacy tab.
• Remove spyware.
• Some spyware detection software may cause conflicts.  You may need to disable it while using Blackboard, or add in exceptions to allow Blackboard to function.
• Some virus protection software may cause conflicts.  You may need to disable some components of this while using Blackboard, or add in exceptions to allow Blackboard to function.
• Some firewall software/hardware can cause conflicts.  You may need to disable it while using Blackboard, or add in exceptions to allow Blackboard to function.
  • Your Windows OS may also have a firewall built in.
