NOOKstudy

NOOKstudy is a free PC and Mac-based eTextbook reader. NOOKstudy has been integrated into the JSU Blackboard environment in order to allow educators and learners to use NOOK Study eTextbooks directly in the Blackboard course environment. Instructors can integrate eTextbooks and their own content seamlessly into courses, streamline course prep and stay organized. eTextbooks can save students up to 60% and NOOKstudy offers many features to help students be efficient and study smarter.

Instructors that have chosen to use a textbook that has a NOOKstudy eTextbook version available may also include and link directly to textbook excerpts from within a Blackboard course. Click here to search for NOOKstudy eTextbooks.

McGraw-Hill Connect and Create

McGraw-Hill and Blackboard have partnered to deliver content and tools directly inside your learning management system.

Instructors will be able to pull content, assignments and assessments from McGraw-Hill's learning object repositories including eTexts, video, interactive exercises-directly into courses with just two or three clicks. And, students will stay actively engaged with the media-rich, high quality content found in this seamlessly integrated course solution.

CafeScribe

The Follett CafeScribe integration with Blackboard allows professors to assign and students to acquire CafeScribe digital textbooks from within the Blackboard Learn platform. The CafeScribe platform also offers study tools, accessibility on different types of devices (laptops, tablets and smart phones) and access to over 15,000 textbook titles.

Note to Instructors: These resources are all generally available within the JSU Blackboard system, but those that you wish to use must be made available in your individual courses.
To do this, choose Customization in the course Control Panel, and then select Tool Availability. Select the Available and Available in Content Area check boxes for each tool you wish to use. Click Submit.
