After his military service, Dr. Thomas spent many years in private business, primarily in sales and the transportation industry. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Mississippi and has published in multiple outlets, including the Journal of Retailing, Business Ethics Quarterly, and the Journal of Consumer Marketing.  Dr. Thomas is a strong supporter of animal charities and is an avid golfer.
