Sept. 17 Constitution, Citizenship Day Program to Feature Freedom Riders Panel

A Freedom Riders panel will highlight JSU's Constitution and Citizenship Day program on Thursday, Sept. 17 from 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. on the 11th floor of the Houston Cole Library. The panel will profile Freedom Rider William Harbour, Freedom Riders Park committee member Georgia Calhoun, and Freedom Riders Park committee co-chair Pete Conroy. Panelists will address their experiences as Freedom Riders and will share information on the progress of the development of the Freedom Riders Park in Anniston, including ways that interested citizens can become involved.
