September 6 "Earth Day in the Fall" Features Film Screening, Photo Walk

09/02/2014

As part of JSU's "Earth Day in the Fall" celebration, there will be a free screening of the award-winning nature documentary "America's Amazon" at the Jacksonville Community Center on Saturday, September 6 at 2 p.m. "America's Amazon" is a visually stunning film about the Mobile River basin and its wildlife. You'll learn how valuable this ecosystem is, how it is threatened, and how you can make a difference.

Afterward, attendees will head outside for a nature photo workshop with Doug Clark, associate professor of photography at JSU. This event is ideal for any skill level and any type of camera.

The whole community is welcome, and guests are encouraged to bring a bag of recyclables for a recycling drive.

This event is presented by Choccolocco Creek Watershed Alliance and JSU Earth Club with help from the Southern Environmental Law Center.
