Operation Care Package is a service project developed by Dr. Teresa Reed's Honors Freshman Composition class this fall. The class is soliciting donations on campus and in Jacksonville of items to be shipped to active-duty military personnel overseas. The class members will also accept monetary donations, which will be used to buy more items to be sent. The class has researched and found an active-duty member of the Air Force who flies regularly to Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, and other desert locations who will deliver the care packages for free to the service members.
The students would like to ask for the help of JSU's faculty and staff on this project and are asking that you take a look at the list below and bring any of those items or provide us with a monetary donation.
Please call Dr. Reed at JSU extension 5456, and she will have students come by to pick up your donations. If you've contacted us, students will visit buildings on campus the afternoons of
Friday, Nov. 8, and Wednesday, Nov. 13.
