Debate "Is There a Moral Basis for the Free Market?" in Merrill Hall on Friday, Oct. 18

A debate, addressing the question “Is There a Moral Basis for the Free-Market?,” will be held on Friday, October 18, from 6 - 7:30 p.m. in Merrill Hall Auditorium (Room 101). Dr. James Stoner, Visiting Professor at Princeton University and Professor at LSU, and Dr. Michael Munger, Professor at Duke University, will be the speakers. Dr. Jeremiah Russell, Assistant Professor at JSU, will moderate the debate. A reception will be held prior to the event from 4:30 - 5:30 p.m. in the Merrill Hall Lobby, which will give students, faculty, and staff the opportunity to meet the speakers. The reception and debate is free and open to the public. These events are sponsored by the Intercollegiate Studies Institute (ISI) and the Institute for Humane Studies (IHS).
