Make Internship, Job Connections at "Get Linked" on February 26
02/25/2013
Students, did you know that 70% of students who intern are later offered a job with that same company?
Success after school begins with making the right connections. The Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Jacksonville State University are working to give JSU students the opportunity to connect with area professionals of all levels at "Get Linked," which will be on Tuesday, February 26, from 4 - 6 p.m. at the Hampton Inn in Jacksonville.
The first hour of the event will be a panel discussion, with students participating in a Q&A on "Entrepreneurialism and Management." The second hour will be a meet and mingle time for students to meet current and future community leaders, consisting of fellow students, the panel members and other Chamber Members in attendance. Our five member panel consists of Janet Tyson-Prosser of Tyson Fine Wines & Things, Brian Woodfin of ABS Business Systems, Steven Landers of Effina’s, Scott Exum of Alabama Power, and Jimmie Thompson of Anniston City Schools. With various Chamber members in attendance, doors of opportunity could be opened for those who attend.
If you have any questions or inquiries, contact the Chamber at 256-237-3536.
