Third Floor:

  • Contractor will be entering offices during the day to locate penetrations for drilling holes in the concrete deck above.  Contractor will remove individual ceiling tiles (1 or 2 per for each penetration) and drill a small pilot hole in the proper location.  At night, the contractor will core drill each of these locations.
  • Once the hole is complete, the contractor will install a short section of duct and diffuser in the ceiling.  These may also be completed during the day.
  • Hallway ceiling will be completely removed, hopefully this weekend.  Lights, sensors, devices, etc. will be hung from the concrete deck.  This will not be attractive.
  • All existing HVAC equipment and duct to be removed.  Most of this is in the hallway, but some sections do extent into the offices.  Major demolition inside the offices will be attempted at night and weekends.
  • Contractor will focus on the hallway from 8:00am to 4:30pm as much as possible.

Attic:

  • Contractor will be removing all existing HVAC piping & Equipment
  • Contractor will be core drilling approximately 100 holes in the third floor ceiling
  • Contractor may begin to set units if work progresses rapidly enough

Important Notes:

  • [Third Floor]  PPD will have a JSU HVAC Technician on site with the contractor at all times including nights and weekends.  These personnel will accompany & oversee work performed in office areas.  If you require additional security, please contact us immediately so that we may make proper accommodations.
  • Hopefully, at least everyone on the third floor has prepared per the previous recommendations.  If not, you have until the end of the day to do so.
