Plan the activity/conference you want to host. It does not have to strictly pertain to interpreting. As long as the activity is educationally beneficial to interpreters, it can earn CEUs for you!
Contact an RID-Approved Sponsor and secure their agreement to process the paperwork for the conference. Be sure to discuss the Content Area (Professional Studies or General Studies). How many CEUs will be earned? (1 CEU = 10 contact hours)
The Continuing Education Activity Plan is to be completed by the workshop planning committee and returned to the CMP Coordinator at least 45 days prior to the activity.
The CMP Coordinator will evaluate the information and inform the planning committee as to the activity number, plus the number and type of CEUs to be awarded.
The workshop planning committee should thoroughly complete all blanks of the online form. Note: Under "Evaluation & Assessment" the goal here is to have a measurable result so that there is verification that the students are achieving the workshop goals. It is preferred that all supporting documentation be submitted in electronic format via email.
Prior to the activity the planning committee must provide the RID-approved sponsor with:

Upon completion of the activity, the planning committee must provide the RID-approved sponsor with:
These forms must received by the sponsor within 15 days of the completion date.
If all necessary information is not provided in a timely manner, we may not be able to process the CEUs. For large conferences, additional processing time will be required.
