Summer Student Employment Opportunities

The National Park Service is currently seeking applicants for summer employment at the Little River Canyon National Preserve, home of Jacksonville State University's Little River Canyon Field School. The positions of fee collector and maintenance worker are open to qualified university students who have been enrolled during Spring Term and are registered to be enrolled in the upcoming Fall Term. Both are full time positions and pay $10 per hour. Applicants must be US citizens. These positions are excellent, entry level opportunities for National Park Service employment. The Little River Canyon National Preserve is also one of the most beautiful job sites imaginable. For more information contact Larry Beane or  John Bundy by calling 256-845-9605.

Find Cheapest Gas Prices in Jacksonville, Nationwide

The following is intended to help students and employees find the lowest gasoline prices. Since gasoline prices change frequently and may vary by as much as 20 percent within only a few blocks, it is important to be able to locate the service station with the lowest priced fuel. Alabama Gas Prices web site allows consumers to both share information about low priced fuel with others as well as target the lowest priced stations to save at the pumps. After registering as a member (a free service), you can enter the members area and search for the lowest prices in your vicinity. You can also report the price of gasoline in your area in order to help others find the best deals. (From Al Harris)
