Featuring Dr. Sherri Restauri Speaking on
"The Lion, the Witch, and the...Wiki?"
Academe will meet on Tuesday, February 12, 2008, at 3:15 p.m., in Room 1103
A, Houston Cole Library. Dr. Sherri Restauri, Director of the
Office of Distance Education, and an adjunct faculty member of the Psychology Department, will address the topic, "The Lion, the Witch,
and the...Wiki? Collaborative Technologies for Successful Teaching at JSU: The How's and Why You Need to Know."
Her discussion will cover "a range of social networking and collaborative technology tools that may be used by faculty and students in
today's university environment. A demonstration of online tools such as blogs, wiks, podcasts, and virtual worlds will be explored.
Education context and best practice tips for usage of these items will be discussed, as well."
This presentation will be one that all faculty will be able to adapt to the classroom, so we hope to see all of you on Tuesday at 3:15.
