Gladys M. Carlisle Fine Arts Facility Dedication

A dedication ceremony for the new fine arts facility named in honor of Gladys M. Carlisle, a distinguished member of the Jacksonville State University Board of Trustees, was held Monday, October 15, 2007.

The Carlisle Fine Arts Facility will provide much needed space for the Art Department, its students and its faculty. Professors will receive new office space and state-of-the-art classrooms and workspaces will give students better tools and conditions under which to create. The Carlisle building features new equipment and facilities designed to aid students in drawing, design, ceramics and photography classes.

Gladys Carlisle cuts the ribbon, assisted by her daughter Veronica and President Meehan. Members of the Board are present to observe the event.
