Annual Renaissance Madrigal Dinner Theater

The JSU Chamber Singers and A Capella Choir, led by Dr. Patricia Corbin, bring the season's cheer to guests by staging a "Renaissance England" dinner theater that features an evening of music and drama. On Friday, November 30th and Saturday, December 1st, the JSU Choral Activities will present their Annual Renaissance Madrigal Dinner in the Gamecock Center on the JSU campus at 7:00 p.m. nightly. Join us for an evening of music and high (and low) drama, featuring the JSU Chamber Singers and A Cappella Choir!

Both evenings will begin with Wassail followed by a multi-course feast. This year’s Dinner is entitled “The King’s Birthday.” The story is a farcical tale written by JSU students Jarrod Lee, Matthew Headley, Eleanor Mellen, Meg Griffin, Gatlin Alldredge, Judy Shealy and JSU Director of Choral Activities, Dr. Patricia Corbin. This event is great family entertainment, suitable for children and adults.

Seat reservations are $30 for regular seating and $55 for Patron seating. Advanced purchase is required. All reservations must be received by the Choral Activities office by 12 noon, Tuesday, November 20th.

Seating is limited so make your reservations early. Seating will be assigned as the orders are received, so please make any group requests together at one time. Please be certain of your plans as seat reservations are non-refundable. You may phone in your order to the JSU Office of Choral Activities (256) 782-5544.
