JSU Jazz Professor Dr. "Chip" Crotts
Joins Phanton Regiment Brass Staff


Dr. Chip Crotts

Dr. Chip Crotts has recently been named Brass Co-Caption Head for the world renowned and former DCI Champion Phantom Regiment Drum & Bugle Corps. This group has a long tradition of excellence in the drum corps community and has long been known for its beautiful music and and incredible brass section.

Previously, Dr. Crotts was the Brass Caption Head for our very own Spirit from JSU. Dr. Crotts was a trumpet player in the Phantom Regiment in 1989 and 1990.

Dr. Crotts states, " I am extremely excited and honored to be asked to teach at a corps of the stature and respect of Phantom Regiment. I'm also excited to be able to go back to where I marched as a college student and give back to a new generation of young musicians."
