Encore!—JSU Show Choir—to Present Fall Concert
Encore!—the show choir of Jacksonville State University—will present its Fall Concert on Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at 7:30 p.m. at the Ernest Stone Performing Arts Theatre on the JSU campus.

Under the direction of Dr. Renée L. Baptiste, the ensemble will showcase the Best of Broadway! The group will sing selections from the following Tony award winning best musicals: Ain’t Misbehavin’, Hairspray, Rent, The Pajama Game, Jersey Boys, A Little Night Music, and The Wiz.

As ambassadors of Jacksonville State University, the members of Encore! perform for local campus and community groups such as the Calhoun County Medical Society, the Calhoun County Youth Leadership, Blue Cross/Blue Shield sponsored tours, Oxford City Arts Council, among others. In December the group will perform again for the Calhoun County Medical Society as well as for a benefit concert for the Children’s Miracle Network in Homewood, AL. Additionally, Encore! has been selected by audition to perform at the Alabama Music Educators Association (AMEA) conference in January 2008.
