WISE Joins Global V-Day Movement:
Holding Interest Meeting to Enlist Support

WISE presents V-Day: The Vagina Monologues 2008

V-Day is a global movement to stop violence against women and girls. Through productions of Eve Ensler’s The Vagina Monologues, college students and local volunteers raise awareness and funds for anti-violence groups within their own communities.

In 2006, 2,700+ V-Day benefit events took place across the United States. The upcoming year 2008 marks the first year JSU plans to be actively involved. All funds raised by this event will support New Orleans rape crisis centers, the Daybreak Crisis Recovery Center, and the WISE Legacy Scholarship.

Who can be involved? . . . Anyone and Everyone regardless of age, gender, race, religion, or orientation.

An interest meeting is being held on Wednesday, November 7th at 6:15 p.m. in Brewer Hall - Room 329 to enlist support for this movement at JSU. If you are unable to attend but would still like to be involved, or if you would like additional information, please contact Trace with WISE at 282-2217.
