JSU Jazz Professor Dr. "Chip" Crotts
Joining Boston Brass in Christmas Tour


Dr. Chip Crotts

Dr. Chip Crotts has been invited to tour over the Christmas holidays as part of the world renowned Boston Brass Quintet. Chip will be a member of the All-Stars Big Band, which will travel around the country during Christmas time performing the big band music of Stan Kenton and his famous Christmas Carols.

This group, comprised of members of the Boston Brass, Canadian Brass and Empire Brass, is considered one of the premier chamber ensembles in the world and Dr. Crotts is extremely honored to have been invited to perform as a member of this group.
The Kenton Christmas Carols were recorded by the All-Stars Big Band in 2006 and all CD information and tour details can found on the Boston Brass website at www.bostonbrass.com.

Dr. Crotts is Director of Jazz Studies and Assistant Professor of Trumpet at JSU and is a Yamaha Trumpet Performing Artist.
