JSU Criminal Justice Alumni Chapter Meeting & Dinner at JSU Alumni House

The Jacksonville State University Criminal Justice Alumni Chapter meeting and dinner will be held on Friday, October 19, 2007 at 6 PM on the grounds of the JSU Alumni House.

 

The Criminal Justice Alumni Chapter has partnered with the Calhoun County Sheriff's Department and Sheriff Larry Amerson, who has graciously volunteered to sponsor our dinner event.  The dinner event is FREE and is open to all JSU Criminal Justice students, alumni, faculty and invited guests.  Dress is casual. 

 

You must RSVP to the alumni office at alumni@jsu.edu no later than October 17, 2007 by 5 PM Central Time.

 

Throughout the day, the Sheriff's Department will be presenting their various capabilities they possess to serve the people of Calhoun County.   This part of the event will be on the grounds of the JSU Alumni House and will be open to all students, faculty and citizens of Calhoun County. 

 

The Calhoun County Sheriff's Office will have onsite from Noon to 5 PM the following:

 

* Active Deputies of the Calhoun County Sheriff's Department

 

* SWAT Vehicles and Team members to meet and speak to

 

* SWAT Team demonstrations

 

* CERT (Correctional Emergency Response Team) demonstrations

 

* Armored Personnel Carrier

 

* K-9

 

* Posse**

 

* School Resource Officers

 

** The Sheriff's posse will be giving short escorted rides for children between the hours of 12 PM - 4 PM.  Fun for the family.

 

***Jail tours are available for anyone interested in onsite tours. 

 

Please join us for this event.  We welcome all who are interested in supporting both the JSU Criminal Justice Alumni Chapter and the Calhoun County Sheriff's Office.
