“Alabama Inspirational” Faculty Art Exhibit
Featuring Artworks Inspired from State's Heritage:
JSU Entry in "Year of Alabama Arts 2007” Campaign

“Alabama Inspirational - Jacksonville State University Department of Art, Faculty Exhibition” is presented in conjunction with “The Year of Alabama Arts 2007”, a campaign designed “to encourage both visitors and Alabamians to spend time experiencing every form of art that Alabama has to offer.”

Our faculty will be exhibiting an array of art ranging from pottery to photography, painting, prints, textiles, and baskets--all inspired from living in the rich environments found in our beautiful state of Alabama. In our gallery, you will find artworks by Ron Baker, Diana Cadwallader, Doug Clark, Gary Gee, Karen Henricks, Lynnette Hesser, Phil Kesler, Laverne Lombardi, Steve Loucks, Lee Manners, Allison McElroy, Sarah Cusimano Miles, Carter Osterbind, and Marvin Shaw.

“Alabama Inspirational” begins in Hammond Hall Art Gallery on the JSU campus with an opening reception Tuesday, October 2, 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. and will run through Friday, November 16, 2007.

Thursday, November 8, 12:00 noon to 1:30 p.m., we would be pleased to have you join our faculty members for “Brown Bag Lunch in the Gallery.” Bring your lunch and talk with the faculty about making art in Alabama.

As always, exhibitions are free and open to the public. Our gallery hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. For more information, call Gale Brodie, Gallery Coordinator at (256) 782-5626.

Visit the Website Year of Alabama Arts 2007.

We are looking forward to having you visit with us in our Gallery on the Friendliest Campus in the South at Jacksonville State University.
