Cheaha Dog & Master Hike: Celebrate National Dog Week

Join teenage dog enthusiasts Haley Conroy and Joshua Morrison of the GEEKs in the Woods organization (www.geeksinthewoods.org) and Renee Morrison of JSU Field Schools (http://fieldschool.jsu.edu) for this fun canine hike where you will learn doggie etiquette, how to “speak” dog, and how to relate better to your furry friends.

Where: Meeting at Cheaha State Park General Store Parking Lot at 12:45 pm

Time: 1:00—3:00 p.m.

Fee: Pre-registration required; Call 256-782-5697 to register; $5 per person (Dogs free on a leash, of course!)

Cheaha State Park Fire Light Storytelling: Ghosts on the Mountain & Spooks in the Valley
A spooky Saturday night fireside storytelling guaranteed to put shivers up your spine! Learn about Alabama’s finest spooks, legends and folklore from Renee Morrison who has been influenced by story tellers such as Katherine Tucker Windham. Family friendly. Children have the opportunity to “adopt their own ghost”!
