CPS Presents "Sip Free Starbucks
and Meet Your Congressman"

Congressman Mike Rogers

We’re honored to welcome our own Mike Rogers back to the campus next Monday, September 17 as he speaks to the JSU family about his successful career as a local attorney and for the past 4 ˝ years as our representative in Washington, D.C. from the 3rd congressional district.

Mike graduated from Saks High School and earned his BS in political science and his MS in public administration here at JSU.  He and his wife Beth and their 3 children still live in the Saks community, where they attend Saks Baptist Church, the same church his grandfather attended.

Mike has fond memories of his days at JSU and looks forward to sharing them with you.  He has maintained many Jacksonville connections and says, “Glen Browder was my advisor during my days at Jacksonville State.  He was a mentor to me as a student, and has continued to give me advice and serve as a mentor in my professional life and as a politician.”

The Congressman’s visit is hosted by Career Placement Services and is the first in a series of visits to campus by successful JSU alumni.  Come out to the TMB Food Court on Monday at 9:30 and meet Congressman Mike Rogers and get your free Starbucks coffee.
