The Small Business Administration in conjunction with the Sylacauga Chamber of Commerce, Jacksonville State University Small Business Development Center, Jacksonville State Center for Economic Development, and the Alabama Small Business Institute for Commerce are hosting a loan clinic at the Chamber of Commerce Office located at 17 West Fort Williams Street, Sylacauga, AL, on August 15, 2007.

Using the Community Express program, start-up and existing business applicants can apply for unsecured loans up to $50,000. This program requires the clients to receive business counseling from a technical assistance provider (TAP) before approved loans are disbursed. The counseling is free. The Jacksonville State University Small Business Development Center will have representatives available to schedule counseling.

The workshop will also introduce attendees to small business resources available to them and the basics of accessing and using those resources.

The event will be held Wednesday, August 15, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Small business resources will be introduced at 1 p.m. and a presentation of the SBA Business Loan Programs will be made at 1:30 p.m. and repeated at 2:15 pm.
