JSU HPER Dept. Head Named Fellow of the National Strength and Conditioning Association

Dr. Jeff Chandler, Department Head of Health, Physical Education, and Recreation (HPER), Jacksonville State University, was recently named a Fellow of the National Strength and Conditioning Association (FNSCA). Since the inception of the NSCA over 25 years ago, this is the first class of Fellows to be inducted into the organization. The ceremony was held at the NSCA National Conference in Atlanta on July 13, 2007.

Criteria for fellowship in the NSCA includes a record of service to the organization through publications, presentations, and committee service. Fellowship is intended to promote excellence and leadership within the NSCA by recognizing high standards and extraordinary professional development. Since continued service to the NSCA is essential to the organization's growth, successful candidates have demonstrated a long-term commitment to the mission of the NSCA. The designation of FNSCA reflects the professional stature of the Fellow and his/her record of valuable contributions to the NSCA.
