Training Workshop for Volunteer Operators
of National Sexual Assault Online Hotline

WISE and Daybreak Crisis Center is sponsoring RAINN—"Rape Abuse and Incest National Network"—a Volunteer Training for the National Sexual Assault Online Hotline on Thursday, July 26, 2007 from 9-5 in Brewer Hall Room 122. Lunch will be provided by RAINN.

The National Sexual Assault Online Hotline, operated by RAINN provides live, secure, anonymous, instant-message-style crisis support to the growing number of people who prefer communicating via the internet-giving those affected by sexual assault a safe place to turn when they can't find their voice.

At the training, participants will learn the skills necessary to provide much needed support to victims of sexual assault and their friends and family members. Participants who are trained at this workshop will then be able to volunteer in the comfort of their own home on their personal computer. Shifts can be as short as one hour.

For more information or to sign up-contact Trace at 256-237-6300 or tracedaybreak@bellsouth.net. Trace Fleming is a JSU graduate and founder of the group WISE. Trace is now working at Daybreak Crisis Recovery Center.
