Observatory Base is Complete
Pete Conroy, director of Jacksonville State University's Environmental Policy and Information Center, said Monday that the new JSU Observatory base on Chimney Peak is complete and the dome is being installed.

He said, "The metallic shine makes it hard to see, but even from the Jacksonville campus, you can see it. Now about one-third complete, it should be fully installed by the end of the week. Take a trip up to Chimney Peak and see it all for yourself."
