Holiday Favorite Returns as CAST Season Extra:
"The Best Christmas Pageant Ever"

"The Best Christmas Pageant Ever," the holiday family favorite, will return to the CAST stage this December, with eight delightful performances. Adapted by Barbara Robinson from her own popular children’s book, Best Christmas attracted sizeable audiences of all ages when first produced by CAST during its 2005-06 season.

The story of a town citizenry’s ultimate acceptance of outcasts into their traditional Christmas production, "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" will star CAST veterans Sumer Buckner, Kendall Beverly and Jim Athon along with a large cast of young actors. Kimberley Dobbs, CAST General Manager and Artistic Director will once again direct.

The fun starts with a special preview show, Thursday, December 7, and then continues with performances December 8 – 10 and 15 – 17. There will also be a bonus matinee performance on Dec. 16. All shows will be produced in CAST’s new home in the JSU/McClellan Theatre at 100 Gamecock Drive, McClellan.

Tickets are $12 for adults, $5 for students with group rates available. Preview night will be a "Pay-What-You-Can Night”, as are all Thursday night performances at CAST.

Curtain rises at 8:00 p.m. Dec. 7, 8, 9, 15 and 16 and at 2:30 p.m. for Dec. 10, 16 and 17 matinees.
