A Cappella Choir and Chamber Winds Winter Concert

The Jacksonville State University A Cappella Choir and Chamber Winds will be presenting a joint Winter Concert on Sunday, November 19, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Anniston.

A Cappella Choir is under the direction of JSU Director of Choral Activities, Dr. Patricia Corbin. The choir will perform a variety of seasonal works by composers such as Felix Mendelssohn, Eric Whitacre, Hugh Thomas, and William Dawson.

Chamber Winds is under the direction of Kenneth Bodiford, Director of University Bands. Their program will include works by Morten Lauridsen, Phillip Sparke and Jim Cassela.

A Cappella Choir and Chamber Winds will be closing the concert with a special arrangement of "All Is Well", a work arranged by JSU student Justin Williams, and dedicated in memory of the late JSU music faculty member, Dr. Jerryl Davis. Teresa Stricklin will be the guest soloist for this composition.
