Civic Chorale Presents its Winter Concert
On Sunday, November 12, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. the Calhoun County Civic Chorale will have its Winter Concert at First Baptist Church in Jacksonville. The Calhoun County Civic Chorale is under the direction of Dr. Patricia Corbin, Jacksonville State University Director of Chorale Activities. The Chorale membership includes community singers as well as Jacksonville State University students and faculty.

The Chorale has a tradition of singing extended masterworks from the classical choral repertoire. The concert will include excerpts from Mozart’s "Vesperae Solennes de Confessore," and seasonal Christmas selections. In the spring the Chorale will join forces with A Cappella Choir to perform Johannes Brahms' "German Requiem."
