The Small Business Administration in conjunction with the Jacksonville
State University Small Business Development Center, Jacksonville
State Center for Economic Development, and the Alabama Small
Business Institute for Commerce are hosting a loan clinic at
the JSU Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Office on Tuesday,
October 10th. The SBDC office is located in the College of Commerce
- Merrill Hall, Room 114 - on Pelham Road North (Hwy. 21).
Start-up and existing business owners will be able to apply
for SBA loans. The loans are unsecured (require no collateral).
Start-up and existing small businesses can apply for unsecured
small business loans up to $50,000.
A group presentation of the SBA loan programs will be given
at 1:00 p.m. and again at 2:00 p.m. Using the Community Express
program, start-up and existing business applicants can apply
for unsecured loans up to $50,000. This program requires the
clients to receive business counseling from a technical assistance
provider (TAP) before approved loans are disbursed. The workshop
and counseling are free.
The Jacksonville State University Small Business Development
Center will have representatives available for counseling and
to assist with the application process.
