Small Business Loan Clinic:
Up to $50K, No Collateral

The Small Business Administration in conjunction with the Jacksonville State University Small Business Development Center, Jacksonville State Center for Economic Development, and the Alabama Small Business Institute for Commerce are hosting a loan clinic at the JSU Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Office on Tuesday, October 10th. The SBDC office is located in the College of Commerce - Merrill Hall, Room 114 - on Pelham Road North (Hwy. 21).

Start-up and existing business owners will be able to apply for SBA loans. The loans are unsecured (require no collateral). Start-up and existing small businesses can apply for unsecured small business loans up to $50,000.

A group presentation of the SBA loan programs will be given at 1:00 p.m. and again at 2:00 p.m. Using the Community Express program, start-up and existing business applicants can apply for unsecured loans up to $50,000. This program requires the clients to receive business counseling from a technical assistance provider (TAP) before approved loans are disbursed. The workshop and counseling are free.

The Jacksonville State University Small Business Development Center will have representatives available for counseling and to assist with the application process.

"I'm very excited about these new programs and the participation of our lending partners and resource partners." says Michael Ricks, Alabama SBA Director. "We now can offer applicants tools that can provide access to capital. These new products and technology provide these services to the citizens of Alabama in a timelier manner."

For more information concerning the loan clinic or for directions, contact Jacksonville State University Small Business Development Center at (256) 782-5271.
