Jacksonville Residents Help with
CAST's Production of 'Oklahoma'

People of all ages from Jacksonville contribute so much to musicals, dramas and comedies in Anniston and at JSU’s theater that there would indeed be a theatrical void without present and past-generation Jacksonville individuals.

This is true, again, in CAST Theatre’s September production, “Oklahoma!” One-third of the company are Jacksonville residents, and three of the Anniston cast members have parents and grandparents in Jacksonville.

“Oklahoma!” is directed by JSU graduate Kim Dobbs and opens CAST’s new season. It will be presented two weekends — Sept. 8, 9, 10, 14, 15, 16 and 17. Thursday, Sept. 7, is preview night and both Thursday nights are “Pay What You Can Nights,” a new plan started by the CAST Board of Directors. Curtain time on Sundays will be 2:30 p.m. instead of the previous time, 2 p.m.

CAST’s performing location now the JSU McClellan Theatre, Building 3181. See story at The Jacksonville News's website: www.jaxnews.com .
